A coding benchmark is useful context. A security-patch score needs a separate test: did the fix remove the vulnerability, preserve behavior, and pass regression checks? Models here show their published coding scores and patch-workflow capabilities. No model is labeled security-verified without those evaluations.
Our review standardsHow we select, rank, and refresh the models
Coding rank: Artificial Analysis Coding Index as returned by OpenRouter, highest first. Missing scores are shown as “Not scored” and follow scored models. The index is not a security success rate.
Patch-workflow signals: text input/output, tool calling, reasoning support, and structured output. Models need at least 32K context. These are capability indicators, not proof of correct or secure patches.
Fresh releases: newly listed eligible models enter the catalog automatically. “New” means listed within 30 days. Retired and batch-only variants are excluded. A listed model is a candidate; availability for AI fixes also depends on provider capacity, your plan, and validation.
Free options: zero input and output token prices in OpenRouter’s current catalog. Provider rate limits and availability still apply. Switching to a different provider requires your choice; source is never transferred simply by browsing this library.
Freshness: the server refreshes catalog metadata once per hour when requested. A cached result can be shown for up to 24 hours during an outage and is explicitly labeled. No account or repository data is sent to OpenRouter to load this page.
