Using Aster

These terms describe your use of Aster at asterco.app. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Contact Aster at info@cancomstudio.com. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and have authority to act for any organization whose code you connect.

Your account and access

Provide accurate account details and protect your sign-in credentials. Only connect repositories you are authorized to share. GitHub sign-in and repository authorization are separate steps; you choose the repository access granted to the Aster GitHub App. Do not circumvent quotas, access other users’ information, submit malicious requests against the service, or use it unlawfully.

One free audit is available per account and is not a recurring monthly allowance. Deleting and recreating an account does not reset a redeemed free audit. Aster may restrict access to address abuse, security incidents, or legal requirements.

What an audit can tell you

The current source audit performs bounded static checks for credential patterns, selected risky code, JavaScript and TypeScript syntax, and selected client/server boundaries. Coverage and limits appear in your report. It does not execute your code, perform penetration testing, query a complete dependency vulnerability database, or prove that software is secure.

Findings may be incomplete or incorrect. A report with no findings is not security clearance or compliance certification. Use qualified review, appropriate testing, and your own judgment before deploying software or relying on a suggested change.

Your code stays yours

You keep your rights in the code and material you submit. You authorize Aster to process that material only as needed to provide the features you request, secure the service, and comply with applicable obligations. This does not transfer ownership of your repositories to Aster.

Aster’s branding and interface remain the property of their respective rights holders. Third-party logos identify services and do not imply endorsement. For a copyright concern, contact us with the affected material, your contact details, and enough information to investigate.

AI features and review

AI fix generation depends on an active model connection and the feature being available for your plan. You must separately approve the provider, model, and data transfer for each request; a catalog listing or preference toggle is not that approval. Provider terms and retention can differ between models.

Generated suggestions can introduce defects or security problems. Review and test changes before applying them. Aster does not automatically merge source-audit results into your repository.

Pricing and paid features

The pricing page describes plan allowances and prices in USD. An enquiry or plan selection alone does not charge you or create a subscription. Live checkout is not enabled. The separate test sandbox cannot collect real payments. Features described in a plan may require additional provider connections; check availability before purchasing.

When checkout is enabled, it must display the amount due now, billing interval, any applicable taxes, recurring renewal amount, and cancellation terms before you confirm. Yearly pricing is billed as the full yearly total; its displayed monthly equivalent is a comparison. Audit and AI credit allowances refresh monthly, including on yearly plans, and unused credits do not roll over.

A paid subscription may renew only after you expressly agree to the recurring terms at checkout. Cancellation stops future renewals and follows the access-end date shown in your billing controls. Refunds and cancellation rights required by applicable law are unaffected; contact us about a billing error or refund request. No current page is permission to charge a stored payment method.

Leaving and resolving issues

You can sign out, revoke GitHub access, export your data, or delete your Aster account from Settings. Deletion is permanent in the active service. If a paid subscription is active, resolve its cancellation first. The Privacy Policy explains limited retained records and provider backups.

Contact us promptly about account access, security, or service problems. We may change or discontinue features; material paid-service changes should be communicated before they affect a renewal. Service availability and automated results are not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
